Bill King - Technical Director

About Bill

Bill has a long history in Information Technology, working with IBM for 28 years. Within his time at IBM he held a number of positions, including European Technical Manager with IBM's flagship brand, the large system or zSeries as it was known. He has also been a consultant, project manager, technical support and IBM Aberdeen location manager. Within his various roles, Bill was also part of the IBM marketing organisation, supporting the corporate global marketing strategy across Europe.

This wealth of experience, working with some of the largest organisations across Europe, has given PowerShock a firm basis for assisting business across Scotland with their Information Technology needs. This is complemented by his experience in Marketing which was a major part of his function as European Technical Manager where he had a responsibility for ensuring that the global marketing strategy was implemented for his area of responsibility.

As well as a wealth of experience, Bill also holds an MSc (Dist) in Computer Software Technology a BSc (Hons) in Technology and a Diploma in Systems Practice (DipSysPrac) as well as number of qualifications in Business, Art & Design and Photography.

Photography & Creative Digital Imaging

Bill has also taught digital photography at Aberdeen College and is currently teaching the Creative Imaging course at Grays School of Art in Aberdeen.
