Marcliffe hotel

Re–defining the I.T. Infrastructure

During 2007/8 Bill has worked on contract to revitalise the Information Technology infrastructure at the Marcliffe hotel. This is a joint project being run in conjunction with Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. The project has involved project managing the migration of the Hotel’s in house booking system, developing and implementing an overall architecture to support the business over the coming years. Within the scope of the project, the website has been redeveloped and relocated in order to ease the updating of information and improve the marketing potential of the site. This move was a short term exercise done to ensure that the website maintained its marketing potential while a full Content Managed site is implemented. The full CMS site went live in January 2008 and formed the core of the WebPlex.
