New RGU website goes online.

During 2009 Robert Gordon University ran a project to renew their website. We at PowerShock provided the consultancy and implementation on the Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) for the site.

An analysis was performed and all the course pages were optimised for each of their relevant target audiences. This included ensuring that the various schools were represented in line with their own particular market segment both within the UK and overseas.

The Rose Hip and Tutu site has now migrated from an inflexible template based solution to a full Content Managed site.

The site design has given the customer a very large degree of control over the look of the site and the content. This was one of the criteria that were highlighted by the design process. The high rate of visual change that drives the fashion industry needs a website that can accommodate various style and colours, without dictating a strong look.

The solution was a minimalist site based on a plain background, the majority of which that can be changed by the customer. The fixed element of the site is a gray footer and a Flash menu system on the left hand side. The site also shows well on mobile devices such as the iPhone and provides strong Search Engine Optimisation features that can also be updated and controlled by the customer. Page creation, updating and editing is provided through a simple word processing type interface.
